Can everyone rent a vehicle from Golden Rent?

To rent a vehicle from Golden Rent Car Rental you need to be 22 years old, have a driver’s license for at least 12 months, and not be over 75 years old.

Everyone can rent a car , regardless of nationality.

What documents do I need to have with me when receiving the car?

When receiving the car from Golden rent Car Rental, you need to provide the following supporting documents:

1. Police ID or Passport

2. European or International Driving License valid for at least 12 months

3. VISA, Master Card, or American Express Credit Card for warranty purposes.

In case you do not have a credit card you can rent the vehicle you want by paying a financial guarantee which is returned to you at the end of the car rental.

What are the types of vehicles for rent?

At Golden Rent Car Rental you can rent cars and Van of any category that may include manual or automatic transmission, petrol, diesel or hybrid, and multi-seater van with up to 9 seats. See the detailed list of our fleet here.

What does car rental include?

For each vehicle you rent, the basic vehicle insurance (CDW) is provided, the insurance to third parties, unlimited km (in leases of less than three days there is a limit of 200 km per day) * & roadside assistance.

* In case there are more kilometers, the extra charge is adjusted depending on the car category.

What are the minimum and maximum rental term for a vehicle?

The minimum rental term for a vehicle from Golden Rent Car Rental is one day (24 hours). If you wish to rent a vehicle for less than one day, the charge remains the same as for one day.

What are the delivery and pick-up locations of Golden Rent Car Rental vehicles?

There are many options for the delivery and pick-up location of Golden Rent vehicles. The Airports of Thessaloniki and Kavala, the Railway Stations of Thessaloniki and Xanthi, the Intercity bus station (KTEL) of Thessaloniki, Kavala, and Xanthi. Also, Golden Rent cars can be waiting for you in the ports of Thessaloniki, Kavala, and Keramoti. The delivery and collection of our vehicles can be done by arrangement and from any hotel, you wish for the cities of Thessaloniki, Kavala, and Xanthi.

Are vehicles allowed to cross outside Greek borders?

Of course, you can travel outside the Greek borders with one of the vehicles of Golden Rent Car Rental, but always after consultation with our company.

Can someone rent a car on the same day?

All reservations are made by the reservation system of our website (www. golden rent. gr) where you can book the vehicle of your choice for at least 48 hours after. In case you wanted a vehicle immediately for the same day (Last minute booking) you need to contact us by phone and pick up your vehicle even within 20 minutes (according to car availability).

What are the pickup/delivery hours of the vehicles?

Our offices are open from 8:00 p.m. until 20:00 a.m. Of course, you can deliver or pick up your vehicle before or after office operating hours, by appointment.

How and where can I pay for my rent?

During your booking, you can pay by bank deposit, credit via Paypal, and even payment at our office. Get in touch with us and find out how can you pay .

Can I pay for my rent upon picking up of the vehicle or delivery?

Payment for car rental is always made upon picking up of the vehicle.

If I want to extend my rental how long can I let you know?

In case you want to extend the rental of your vehicle you can send an email to info@goldenrent.gr with your reservation number up to one day before the specified delivery date or you can contact us by phone up to 2 hours before the delivery hour of the vehicle.

Can I cancel or even modify my reservation?

If you have made a reservation through our website you should contact us with your reservation number. In case of cancellation, our Company’s cancellation policy applies and there is no charge.

Is there a charge for canceling my booking?

There is no charge in case of cancellation of the reservation. (Free cancelation).

Is there a child seat in the rental vehicle?

Of course, a child seat is provided in the rental vehicle ,if you asked for. You can choose between a baby seat, child seat, or booster for older children, free of charge. It is installed by us or if you want you can let us know that you will do it. You can also request a 2nd or 3rd child seat at an additional cost.

Is there anything that is not included in my car insurance?

1. Damage to the exterior body and engine of the vehicle ( e.g. car sheet metal, Bumpers ,License Plate, Headlights, tail lights, outside mirrors, parts of the engine)

2. Damage to the wheels, tires, Hubcaps, spare wheels of the vehicle

3. Break in the vehicle windows (windscreen and side windows)

4. Damage to the underneath and the inside part of the vehicle

5. Destruction or damage caused by misuse

6. Costs of refueling with the wrong fuel

7. Vehicle key replacement costs

8. Replacement costs due to loss of spare and various tools of the vehicle as well as triangle or fire extinguisher

9. Repair costs from damage inside or in the luggage compartment

10. Biological cleaning costs when the vehicle is returned with an extremely dirty interior

11. Accident management costs due to the fault of the tenant

12. Management costs of fines that will arise during the rental period

NOTE: No insurance is valid in case the tenant is under the influence of alcohol or toxic substances, in violation of the Road Traffic Code (L2696 / 1999 FEK 57A) or by persons who are not listed as drivers in the contract, as well as in the case that no record of the incident is provided by the traffic or accident care service of the insurance company that insures Golden Rent vehicles.

Can I have extra insurance coverage?

By paying extra charge depending on the category of the car, you can choose:

F.D.W. (Full Damage Waiver) without excess .

F.D.W. Insurance does not include theft or car fire, damage underneath of the car, the wheels,tires, Hubcaps, burning seats, loss of keys and any loss of car accessory.

N.b. The above insurance do not cover damages caused a) while the driver of the vehicle drives under the influence of alcohol or drugs (toxic substances), b) by breaches of the highway code , in violation of the road Traffic Code (Law:N2696/1999 GG 57 A) ,c)while the rental car is being used by any person not specifically named as driver or additional driver in the rental agreement or in case the renter (customer) fails to provide Golden Rent company with the Police accident or incident report as well as with the Accident care report from the Insurance company that insured the cars of Golden Rent.

Full Extra Insurance (WUG – TP) with Zero Exemption .By choosing this insurance there is no charge for car theft-fire, damages to the underneath of the car, wheels, tires, Hubcaps , burning of seats, loss of keys and any loss of car parts.

The above insurance does not cover damages caused a) while the driver of the vehicle drives under the influence of alcohol or drugs (toxic substances), b) by breaches of the highway code , in violation of the road Traffic Code (Law:N2696/1999 GG 57 A) ,c)while the rental car is being used by any person not specifically named as driver or additional driver in the rental agreement or in case the renter (customer) fails to provide Golden Rent company with the Police accident or incident report as well as with the Accident care report from the Insurance company that insured the cars of Golden Rent.
